Keyword-AI-Driven Automation, Technological Dependency, Efficiency, Regression, Education Sector, Digital Skills.
Abstract-Artificial Intelligence (AI)–driven automation is rapidly transforming organizational operations, educational systems, and industrial workforces. While automation enhances productivity, accu-racy, and process efficiency, it also raises serious concerns regarding technological dependency, skill erosion, unemployment, and human decision-making displacement. This study explores whether AI acts primarily as an efficiency enhancer or a dependency catalyst. A quantitative survey was conducted among 200 higher education faculty members to examine attitudes toward efficiency gains and dependency risks. Statistical tools including descriptive analysis, Pearson correlation, reliability analysis (Cronbach’s Alpha), and linear regression were applied. The results indicate a moderate positive correlation (r = .46) between efficiency and dependency, implying that as automation increases efficiency, dependency also increases significantly. The study concludes that AI improves performance but poses risks that must be managed through balanced adoption and digital literacy skill development.

Abstract-The present study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of social skills among urban and rural senior secondary school students. The primary objective was to examine how education and locality (urban or rural) influence social skills such as cooperation, self-confidence, leadership, empathy, communication, and social responsibility. The sample comprised 620 students study-ing in classes XI and XII, including 322 urban and 298 rural students from Bareilly district. A descriptive survey method was adopted for the study. To measure social skills, the Social Skills Rating Scale developed by Vishal Sood, Aarti Anand, and Suresh Kumar was used. Mean and Standard Deviation were calculated, while t-test and one-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) were employed for statistical analysis. The findings revealed that the overall level of social skills among urban and rural students was largely similar, though rural students showed slightly better performance at higher levels of social skills. Significant differences were observed within differ-ent levels of social skills among both urban and rural groups. The study concludes that local environment and social experiences play a crucial role in the development of students’ social skills.

Abstract-Listening is a basis of language competence that plays a key role in determining communicative competence of learners in general. English listening teaching in the Indian context has special considerations because of language diversity, disparate exposure to English and the unavailabil-ity of authentic audio inputs in most of the learning institutions. Nevertheless, there has been a change in present times in the form of Indian audio-based educational platforms as NCERT audio books, DIKSHA, SWAYAM, NPTEL and the radio programs of the British Council extending opportunities to listen structuredly and contextually. This paper analyses the im-portance of Indian audio sources to the development of ELS listeners, and makes a synthesis of the previous theoretical opinion, previous empirical research and pedagogical activities. The analyses of the study are based on a descriptive mixed procedure, perceiving and rate learning improvement, listening effectiveness, and a combination of descriptors based on the audio quali-ties of the resources in India. They analyze quantitative data in the form of the performance score in the listening of learners and qualitative data in the form of the feedback questionnaires. The findings suggest that long-term use of audio sources in the Indian language enhances the listen-ing comprehension, familiarity with accent, and the confidence in the learners. The results of the study are that inclusion of Indian audio resource in English language learning pedagogy contrib-utes towards improved accessibility, cultural relatability and listening skills, especially in the English as a Second Language.

Authors-Alicia Renold Fereira, Pyarelal Singh
Keyword-English language textbooks; Textbook Quality Index (TQI); learning outcomes; middle school education; task-based learning; assessment alignment; teacher mediation; National Curriculum Framework (NCF); multilingual pedagogy; India.
Abstract-The predominant teaching tool that continues to be used in most classrooms (e.g., NCERT/SCERT and state-board series) continues to be an important indicator of what learners are capable of achieving, although this depends on the quality of language input, the ability to meaningfully use it, the compatibility of assessment with it and the media-tion of teachers. Based on the assumption and recognition reflected in the indications of the National Curriculum Framework on reducing rote, enhancing child-centred peda-gogy, and the multilingual resource, as well as the expectations of outcomes, described in the national learning-outcomes documents, this paper researches the relationship be-tween prescribed English textbooks and the student learning outcomes at the middle-school level. The article constructs a Textbook Quality Index (TQI) by weighing (a) bal-ance of skills, (b) task authenticity, (c) cultural and linguistic inclusion and inclusivity, (d) matching assessment, and (e) supporting characteristics of a teacher. After that, it il-lustrates an example of a repeatable mixed-method design (content analysis + teacher survey + learner pre/post assessment) and presents some illustrative results based on a simulated dataset (N = 360 Grade 8 learners in 24 schools) to illustrate how analysis can be formatted on an APA-style research report, in instances where researchers were pre-paring instruments or planning fieldwork. Findings of the exemplific analysis depict (i) an increase in learning with an increase in TQI and (ii) an increase in learning with en-richment in the form of structured, task-based enrichment as well as the alignment of textbook units. Both TQI and textbook+enrichment predict gains in a clustered-robust regression model with control variables of baseline score and background variables. The discussion explains the findings with input/interaction/output theories, the implementa-tion gap between the textbook intent and classroom implementation, and provide policy and practice recommendations based on the textbook design, teacher training, and as-sessment reform, in India, and more so under the outcome-based curriculum expecta-tions.
Attitudes Toward English as a Global Language in India: Ideologies, Aspira-tions, and Educational Implications

Keyword-English as a global language, language attitudes, India, multilingualism, language ideology.
Abstract-English plays a special role in India as an international language that is linked to economic mo-bility, social status, and international connectivity, and at the same time, raises issues related to the linguistic inequality, culture marginalization, and education stratification. English is both a language and also a resource in the multilingual and postcolonial context of India where it serves as a regulating means of communication as well as being a strong, social, and symbolic tool. This paper is an analysis of the attitude of using English language as a global language in India by incorporating perceptions of sociolinguistics, language policy and educational research. The study uses a mixed-methods approach to conduct research using both quantitative survey and qualitative approaches to semi-structured interviews and national policy documents that are considered relevant to this field of research. In such a manner, the English perception is explored in a subtle way in terms of various social, regional, and educational settings. According to the quantitative results, the instrumental orientation towards English is evident as the respondents only demonstrated a high level of connection of the English proficiency with the employability, academic achievement, and international engagement. Meanwhile, qualitative evidence also points to the presence of ambivalent attitudes, such as the fears of the marginalization of indige-nous and regional languages, disproportional access to good education in English, and the ten-sion with identity. As the results reveal, attitudes toward English in India are marked with a simultaneous impression of inspiration and anxiety as it is a representation of greater contradic-tion existing in globalization and multilingual societies. In as much as English is the language of opportunity, its supremacy upholds social inequalities and language dominances. At the end of the study, it is concluded that there is a need to implement language policies and pedagogical strategies that would strike the right balance between English learning and significant emphasis on multilingual education that would allow promoting equity, inclusivity, and linguistic justice in India.

Abstract-The e-commerce industry in India has grown at a high rate owing to the proliferation of online technology, the use of smart phones, digital payments and facilitating policies of the same. Based on the adoption and consumer behavior literature, this paper proposes the determinant of e-commerce purchase intention and loyalty among Indian consumers with reference to the trust, e-service quality, perceived value, and after-sales experience (including returns). An offer to con-duct a cross-sectional survey is laid out and provided in the form of a complete publishable template. With an exemplary data set (N = 420) we apply a concept structure that entails combin-ing technology widely adopted variables (e.g., performance expectancy, effort expectancy), relationship/ retention factors, and service quality processes. Findings indicate that the most predictive factors of trust and e-service quality lead to purchase intention and satisfaction; the latter predicts loyalty and repurchase intention. Perceived risk has negative impact on trust, and convenient returns management has positive impacts on satisfaction. The difference in de-mographics implies the greater dependency on trust indications in first-time and low-experience customers. The results indicate that the evolution of e-commerce in India can be supported both by the availability and payment systems and by the quality cues that face consumer (e.g., good delivery, open policies, customer service, safe payments, and hassle free returns). The implica-tions are addressed on platforms, sellers, and regulators, and recommendations are outlined in accordance with the rule of consumer protection and digital commerce networks development.
Effects of English-Medium Instruction on Rural and Urban Students in India: An Evidence-Informed Synthesis and Illustrative Quantitative Model
Authors-Snehal Godfrey Andrades, Pritama Devi
Keyword-English-medium instruction (EMI); rural–urban divide; learning achievement; language profi-ciency; equity and access; government vs private schools; socioeconomic status (SES); class-room pedagogy; code-switching; multilingual education; student anxiety and engagement; India; educational policy; NEP 2020; assessment outcomes.
Abstract-The English-mediated instruction (EMI) has rapidly disseminated in the Indian education system since the family has linked English with mobility and better jobs. In the meantime, the rural-urban inequalities of household resource allocation, the school facilities and the language profi-ciency of teachers in India, make it questionable that EMI may strengthen the status quo unless the language instruction and teaching subject scaffold is strong. The article is a summary of the evidence in the research and policy on EMI in India and an exemplary and supported quantitative model in rural and urban students. According to the available publications on the matter of Eng-lish input, vocabulary and reading readiness of learners at the low-socioeconomic-status group, national policy implications of multilingual instruction, we propose a conceptual framework of English multilingual instruction with regard to the learning outcomes, which is grounded on the teacher capacity, exposure to English and access to learning materials. Next, we generate a da-taset (size N =800; 4 groups: rural/urban x EMI/non-EMI) that is parameterised to reflect the patterns that are being reported in the literature (e.g., larger EMI with larger resources in urban environment). The results suggest that content learning in the rural EMI settings would be more prone to undergoing trade-offs than that in the urban EMI settings with a weak language sup-port. It has action implications highlighted in the discussion: the necessity to create teacher train-ing that is specific, the use of bilingual pedagogues (including planned translanguaging), bridg-ing courses, and changes in assessment that decouple language and content constructs. The paper concludes that EMI is neither good nor bad and its effects will depend on the quality of implementation and resourcing that is based on equity.

Abstract-This study examines consumer perception, preferences, myths, and behavior toward green prod-ucts and green marketing, along with the impact of online shopping on retail trade in South India. The research addresses the growing relevance of sustainable consumption and digital transformation in emerging economies. A descriptive and analytical research design was adopt-ed, and primary data were collected from 198 respondents using a structured questionnaire. Statistical tools including reliability analysis, correlation, regression, and ANOVA were em-ployed to test the proposed hypotheses. The findings reveal that consumer perception, prefer-ences, and green marketing strategies significantly and positively influence green purchase be-havior. Conversely, myths and misconceptions regarding high cost and product effectiveness negatively affect consumer decisions. Online shopping emerges as a strong predictor of green purchase behavior, driven by digital information availability, peer reviews, and price transparen-cy. Furthermore, the growth of online retail significantly impacts traditional retail trade, intensi-fying competitive pressures in the regional market. Demographic factors such as age and educa-tion also show significant influence on sustainable purchasing behavior. The study highlights the need for transparent green communication, myth reduction through awareness campaigns, and integration of digital and offline retail strategies. By combining green consumer behavior and online retail impact within a unified empirical framework, this research contributes to sustainable marketing literature and provides practical insights for marketers, retailers, and policymakers in South India.
