The present research paper focuses on the comparative study of technical skilling among national and international Taekwondo players in Punjab. Technical skilling is an important component of Taekwondo performance because success in competition depends not only on physical strength, flexibility, or endurance, but also on accurate execution of techniques, kicking speed, balance, coordination, footwork, defensive response, counter-attack ability, and body control. In modern competitive Taekwondo, players are required to perform techniques under pressure and apply them effectively against a moving opponent. The study highlights that technical skill is devel-oped through regular practice, expert coaching, repeated correction, sparring experience, and competition exposure. International-level players are expected to show better technical control because they usually receive higher-level training and greater competitive exposure. The paper also emphasizes the importance of assessing technical skill through coach rating, performance observation, target-based kicking tests, video analysis, and sport-specific assessment methods. This study is useful for coaches, academies, and sports institutions in identifying the technical strengths and weaknesses of Taekwondo players and improving training systems in Punjab.
